This book takes a fresh look at the issues and processes of business communication, from Asian perspectives. It focuses on the fundamental principles of communication as they apply in business globally, with examples and illustrations that will be familiar to Asian readers. The text examines these principles operating in the more prevalent forms of communication in business today, such as reports, presentations and e-mail.
Stressing the importance of understanding the context and parties to communication, the book addresses such issues as how tone can affect business and working relationships, and how careful attention to communication dynamics is vital to successful teamwork. It also includes four case studies set in three Asian countries Singapore, Malaysia and India, presenting opportunities to observe and apply communication principles in realistic business scenarios.
