The Asian Business Case Centre (ABCC), a specialised case study resource and publication centre was set up in early 2000 by Nanyang Business School at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. ABCC promotes the use of teaching case studies on the Asian businesses and organisations using its portal AsiaCase.com.
The ABCC publishes full-text teaching case studies, written by various case writers around the world, online in the Asian Case Collection (http://www.asiacase.com/asianCase.html). The right to reproduce the published cases in the Asian Case Collection is reserved to ABCC/NTU.
The right to reproduce the cases published in the Asian Case Collection in a commercially available textbook is reserved to ABCC/NTU and the authors, who share copyright for this purpose. Information to Authors
As ABCC publishes full-texts of teaching and research case studies, the authors may submit any type of case study on businesses, operations of multi-national companies and organisations in Asia. The case studies may relate to any business management discipline, but must be an original work of the author(s) and not published elsewhere. The following information may be useful to case study author(s).
Primary Sources: All case studies developed using field research and interviews with senior executives of the Asian business or organisation must include a letter of consent to publish the case. For this purpose, the author(s) may approach ABCC to obtain a model format for sign-off.
Secondary Sources: ABCC also invites author(s) to submit teaching case studies based on secondary research or information available in the public domain. However, such case studies must contain the source of information on the company data, opinions, quotes and such. The author(s) are required to check and comply with the copyright policy requirements for the use and reproduction of such information.
Teaching Notes: For both categories of case studies, ABCC requires a complete teaching note. ABCC will not publish the teaching notes online but will share them with instructors who intend to use the case for teaching purposes.
Internal Review: All the case studies will be subjected to ABCC's internal review process and the author(s) are required to modify and resubmit the case study when asked to. ABCC provides extensive editorial and publishing support free of charge to all the case studies accepted for electronic publication.
The Author(s) hereby represents and warrants that the case and teaching note:
- are original and does not contain any plagiarised material;
- do not contain any material which contravenes the copyright or any other intellectual property rights of any individual or any organization;
- do not contain any material that may be deemed defamatory by any individual or any organization; and all sources and quotations referred to therein have been duly acknowledge in accordance with accepted academic conventions.
