| Abstract |
When Apple Daily burst into Hong Kong Chinese newspapers scene in 1995, there were 25 Chinese language daily newspapers. Apple Daily's audacious and innovative marketing strategy resulted in rapid gains in its market share, shook up the major dailies and caused several players to close down. This case examines the cut-throat competition as newspaper companies battle for circulation and market share. |
