| Abstract |
Tourism is on the rise and this couldn't be truer for the Greek island of Ios. This small island in the Cyclades receives 20,000 tourists during the peak season of June and July. Many vacationers arrive by ferry either directly from the mainland or from other Greek islands. Travel agencies are ready and willing to book tours, hotels, airfare and return ferry tickets. Acteon Travel is one of the best-represented agencies on the island, in terms of location and advertising visibility. Questions arise as to the ethics surrounding how this company maintains its leadership position.
