| Abstract |
This case is a good description of the kind of debates in the late
1990s on the appropriateness of various methods for valuing software stocks.
Similar issues arose in a much more dramatic fashion in the year 2000 on
valuing the so-called Dotcom companies. The case describes the various considerations
in valuing stocks and concludes by suggesting that perhaps the shares of
all the three illustrative companies valued here are overvalued by the share
market. |
