| Abstract |
Regional stock exchanges in India have for a long time, been suffering
from low turnover and lack of liquidity. After NSE launched its screen-based
trading through terminals located all over the country, regional exchanges
were facing a very tough time and struggling to survive. This note describes
the status, operations, sources of revenue of one such regional exchange.
This note also provides comparative data on the regional exchanges in India.
