| Abstract |
IBIL is debating whether it should grant additional subsidies to its
existing distributors to extend their reach to rural towns with a population
of around 5000, an important emerging market for packed foods such as biscuits.
It has in mind, an alternative channel of 'super-stockists' to cover such
rural markets. The case gives the structure of the two alternative channels,
a map of the area and data on the towns with number of outlets to be covered
in each of the towns. |
