Abstract:

The main issue in this case pertains to the imperatives set by an outside consultant towards human resource management. The CEO realized the urgency of implementing these changes, as it was necessary to demonstrate growth and efficient utilization of resources to the donor. Hence, the case also highlights the transformation of a grass root Community Based Organization into a nonprofit organization which required up-scaling. Sarmad Ali, the CEO, faced the dilemma of introducing new policies at the risk of disenchanting the existing managers and possibly causing a conflict amongst the human resource of the organization.
