Abstract:

Zindagi Foundation was running a syringe exchange project for injecting drug users in Lahore and Sheikhupura because drug addicts indulge in risky behaviors (syringe sharing, sexual activities, overdose and poly substance abuse) and this risky behavior may lead to infections and death .Therefore, proper information was provided to the clients rather than advice. It was more effective to give clients information, and then help them make their own decisions and solve their problems.

A case study was conducted by Zindagi Foundation to find out the effectiveness of the syringe exchange project for drug users in the project area.
