Abstract

On a Monday morning in early June 2003, Christine Ng, Director of Operations at Jupiter System Singapore, was the first to reach her office located in downtown Singapore. She was expecting a phone call at 7.30am from Alice White, Chief Operation Officer, who worked at the company's headquarters in San Francisco. The purpose of the teleconference was to discuss the results of the interviews held over the past few weeks to recruit a suitable regional sales manager. There were six candidates from different backgrounds. Christine had to determine which candidate would best fit with the company culture and the job requirements. The final decision had to be made by the end of the week, based on the discussion. The resumes of the six candidates are presented for evaluation.
